MEET THE founder

Rebecca Woodward, LCSW-C, RMT is the founder of Ancestral Roots Reiki. Starting her career in social work, Rebecca noticed gaps in what she was able to provide in helping individuals heal from trauma. In 2023, she sought out a Reiki training to learn more about energy healing where she discovered psychic gifts she always had, but never understood. Rebecca now identifies as a psychic psychotherapist incorporating both mental health therapy and psychic guidance into her work.

Clinical Mental Health Therapist (LCSW-C)

Rebecca has an extensive background in providing mental health treatment. She has provided clinical mental health services in a wide range of settings including the school system, inpatient substance use treatment centers, psychiatric rehabilitation programs and outpatient mental health programs.  She spent the bulk of her early career working within the carcel system. Rebecca provided support to individuals in her hometown's county jail where she enhanced both the substance use treatment services and reentry services. This resulted in an increased number of individuals diverted to treatment programs versus prison, and reduced recidivism. Now in independent practice, Rebecca values modalities centered around non-judgment, attunement, empowerment, and self-healing.

Psychic & Multidimensional Energy Healer

Rebecca identifies as psychic as she is able to access information outside of her own system. It's as if there is a library of information in the spiritual realm with guidance and support for "living our best lives." As a psychic and multidimensional healer, Rebecca is able to access higher dimensions for this information to support your healing journey.  This can include loved ones in spirit, angels, Reiki etc. Rebecca finds psychic mediumship helpful for clients coping with grief of lost loved ones, and multidimensional healing helpful for all, especially those healing from traumatic experiences. Throughout her learning, Rebecca has recognized her gifts as similar to shamanic healing that has been used by indigenous civilizations effectively for centuries. It is part of her mission to resist myths of Western medicine as superior, acknowledging the place for it, as well as the place for eastern and indigenous medicine practices.

Reiki Master Teacher (RMT)

 Reiki is one of the simplest forms of energy healing that originated in Japan. It's a gentle, yet powerful technique that anyone can learn. In addition to providing Reiki as a service, Rebecca teaches Reiki to those interested in using Reiki as a healing modality for themselves and others.

Specialty Populations

Rebecca specializes in working with women with complex trauma histories, survivors of intimate partner violence and human trafficking, race-based trauma and children/transitional aged youth at-risk of incarceration or legal involvement.
