Rebecca Woodward is a wellness advocate, research pioneer, and justice seeker.
Her path into healing work began at 20yo while attending West Virginia University. One month after leaving her childhood home, her parents called to share they were getting a divorce. Her area of focus swiftly switched from Dental Hygiene to Family Studies. What began as curiosity became a lifelong commitment to understanding relationships, rupture and pathways to healing.
This commitment led her down the Western healing path seeking support through clinical therapy spaces, in addition to becoming a licensed clinical social worker. Rebecca graduated with a Masters in Social Work in 2020 and has worked in the field of human services for over ten years. She is currently licensed in Maryland and Virginia and serves as a board-approved social work supervisor.
Throughout her years in health and human services, Rebecca has worked in almost every aspect of the field including mental health outpatient programs, residential and outpatient psychiatric rehabilitation programs, residential and outpatient substance use treatment programs, school-based therapy, and five years dedicated to her work within the carcel system. Even when well-intended, Rebecca noticed limitations in the support of these institutions.
A few years into her private clinical practice, she began noticing a pattern in her clients gaining insight through talk therapy, yet continuing to feel stuck. Trauma was understood cognitively, but its physiological and relational imprints often remained unresolved.

Rebecca began trainings in somatic therapies and energy-based healing by becoming a Brainspotting practitioner, certified Zumba Instructor, Multidimensional Energy Healer and Reiki Master-Teacher. Through this integration, she experienced meaningful shifts within her own nervous system and began observing similar shifts in those she worked with. Healing appeared most sustainable when mind, body and biofield (energy fields) were addressed together.
Rebecca now works through a multidimensional lens that honors mind, body, emotion, culture, lineage, and spirit. In addition to providing direct care, her work is focused on expanding into research on integrative and energy-based healing modalities.
While her justice and healing work is deeply interwoven into her life, when she’s not in service you may find her on walks, in an exercise routine or class, dancing around her house, journaling, spending time in nature, connecting with deep souls, trying a new recipe, or seeing a favorite artist on tour.
